We are now accepting applications for summer 2025 Semester, Acorn, and Sapling programs. Note that there is a $50 non-refundable fee, payable by credit card (or check – contact us).
If you aren’t sure, find more information on our programs page or call us at (516) 802-0368. Have questions about a program or application? Email Training Director Ethan Johnson at training@oakcliffsailing.org.
Application Review Process
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We have limited space in the Acorn Programs, so submit your application for the 2025 season as soon as possible. Sapling applications are reviewed twice per winter, with acceptance, wait-list, and rejections letters sent shortly thereafter. Once your application has been submitted, we will set up a video interview to get to know you better, so that we may customize the best training program for your goals. Early acceptance will be announced first by February 15, with rolling acceptances sent out until spots are filled.
Financial Aid
Oakcliff Sailing Center is proud to offer thousands of dollars each year in tuition assistance to Saplings and Trainees. Scholarships are available to Trainees who show a desire to become significant contributors and leaders in the sport, and to motivated Trainees and who would be unable to attend without financial aid.
Scholarships are made available by generous individual donations from Oakcliff supporters, parents, and alumni.
Admissions are need-blind. While there is no deadline for financial aid applications, scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, so you are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible. Financial aid review occurs after admissions decisions are made, in the order the applications for aid were received. We may request additional information before a decision is made.
