25 Feb No Time for Snow Days
The 5 days since the open house have been busy in the boat shop. Everyone who took a tour of the Center was amazed at how many boats are in the shop and being worked on. The Ker 11.3 is the big repair. I am Laminate happy to report that we are in the home stretch and on schedule. Ronnie and Vlad are replacing the large structural panels we had to cut out of the boat in order to get access to the damaged area around the keel. Meanwhile…
Ladi and Andrew and Colin have been traipsing around in the sleet moving Melges 24s and Sheilds in and out of the greenhouse for various projects from bottom paint to rig work. Launching will commence soon.
Finally Andrew Wills is going to be learning at North Sails next week as a part of the Acorn training program. That reminds me, Tommy C. from North offered to help laminate and we haven’t seen him in the boat shop yet. I’ll have to save a ‘special project’ for him.
