Wells Drayton

Wells Drayton from Newport Beach, California began sailing at age 7 for Newport Harbor Yacht Club. Wells began sailing the Naples Sabot, and later on, he moved into FJs and big boat racing. At age 10, Wells began sailing 29ers. However, it was not until recently that he began sailing 29ers actively. Through skiff sailing, Wells has met new people from around the world that has granted him some amazing opportunities including the chance to train at Oakcliff. At Oakcliff, Wells hopes to learn more about sailing 49ers, which is the next step up from the 29er, and transfer his new skiff knowledge back to the 29er.
