Sean Grealish

Sean Grealish is 17 and from Portland, Oregon. He’s raced many types of sailing vessels, ranging from lasers to J88s, in regattas spanning the country. Naturally interested in yacht design and naval architecture, Sean loves to examine the every aspect of a yacht that will make it go faster, including the minute details. This interest in naval architecture quickly led to an interest in the Volvo Ocean Race, which in turn led Sean to apply to the Acorn Offshore program at Oakcliff. Having done some navigation for his boat during the Chicago to Mackinac race, Sean hopes to use his time at Oakcliff to further develop his skills as a navigator, and as a skipper.
