Olivia Williams

Olivia Williams is a 17- year old from Locust Valley, New York. She began sailing Opti’s at the age of five at the Cold Spring Harbor Beach Club. More recently, as a part of the Oakcliff inshore Acorn program, she has gotten a taste of keelboat sailing in Swedish Match 40’s. She trimmed jib in a grade four clinegatta with coaching by Dave Perry. She also got experience helming the boat and trimming main.

Olivia is not sure what path she will take in the sailing world but she wants to continue to learn more about match racing. Also, one of her goals is to one day sail around the world. When she’s not sailing she is working on her school’s literary magazine called Xanadu.
