Matt Hersey

My name is Matt Hersey, I grew up racing Optis, C420s and Lasers on Cape Cod, occasionally racing PHRF and extensively team racing with Barnstable High School. I plan to continue coaching at Hyannis Yacht Club and compete for Northeastern University at the collegiate level. I’ve come to Oakcliff as a Sapling until the end of June 2019 to test my knowledge and ability against top competition, learn as much as possible and create lasting connections within the sport of sailing. My goal is to utilize my Oakcliff education so as to broaden my opportunities across Offshore, Dinghy and Foiling yacht racing.
