2022 Saplings
Molly grew up locally on the South Shore of Long Island in Bayshore. Her family is heavily rooted in the boating industry and she started sailing before she could talk. She raced 420s in high school and spent the summers coaching at Point O’ Woods Yacht Club. After graduating high school, she committed fully to sailing, with the goal of sailing around the world in the Ocean Race. She is working to learn the ins-and-outs of sailing and boatwork to see what it takes to achieve her goal.

Gigi grew up in Bristol, Rhode Island where she learned to sail at Bristol Yacht Club. She later went on to coach sailing at the Club. Growing up, her Dad shared her passion for the sport and had her sailing from the time she could walk. After spending her summer sailing offshore, as the boat captain of a Figaro 2, she found her love for sailing offshore. In 2022 she played a key role in forming Team Bitter End, the youngest all female team to compete in the Bermuda Race. More recently, she spends as much time as she can at Oakcliff hoping to further her knowledge and gain as much offshore experience as she can.
